Frederick J. LaVigne’s accompaniment for Cleopatra (Haskill, 1912)
I’ll be at the SCRC conference at UT-Austin in the Glickman Conference Center on Thursday, April 19 and Friday, April 20. On Friday I’ll be talking about “Shakespeare and Music in Silent Cinema” at 10 am in room 1.302 (Glickman Center). My presentation will include an audio-visual reconstruction of Rhode Island cinema musician Frederick J. Lavigne‘s accompaniment of a scene from Charles L. Gaskill’s 1912 film Cleopatra!
